The economy of the future will be shaped in China and other developing countries — not in the sense that the citizens of these countries will become better off than Americans,Europe or Japanese.at not in any of our lifetimes,but in the sense that most of the growth and innovative in the world economy will depend on meeting the physical needs of asia.latin American and Africa,rather than the consumer desires of Europe or the US.

我翻译下大概的意思：

未来的经济体将在中国和发展中国家之间形—这不是从某种意思上表示这些国家的公民将比美国，欧洲或是日本的任何人来得富裕。而是在这个意思上说世界经济的发展与创新绝大部分是取决于亚洲,拉丁美洲以及非洲自身的需求，而不是欧洲或者美国消费者的期望。

上面是开学第一节英语课所探讨的文章部分内容，文章来自Irish Independent.后来老师就开始扯到中国政府与中国媒体的关系以及人权话题。大概是说中国政府与媒体有所联系，公布出来的GDP数据有虚假成分，然后，就由此说到中国的人权话题。当时，我就有点小冲动，脑子里就酝酿反驳人权话题的英文。后来，准备想站起来说的时候，突然想到要保持冷静，没必要为了这种事情和老师辩驳一番。反正，在学校里也不是第一次遇到这种事情。所以，最终我还是选择在这里和Facebook上阐述我自己的观点。

对于”Human right/人权”这个很空虚的词语，我觉得没人能完全地解释出来。每个人对于“人权”的解释定义以及需求有所不同，对于大部分普通的中国人来说只要能够过的开开心心的生活，有饭吃，有房住，这就算是最好的人权保障。而在西方人眼里“人权”的定义就是想做什么就做什么，哪怕几个人组织去政府大楼砸门，也不会受到任何干预，这就是西方所谓的“人权”保障。如果是这样，试问又有谁来保障政府大楼里面公务员的人权呢？为何要凭白无故被人砸门呢？所以说，人权这种话题没必要过度讨论，这并不是在作践自己，而是不给自己增加烦恼，何必每天愁眉苦脸地抱怨政府呢？还不如把这些抱怨的心思放到创业上面。

看过这篇文章的人也许会觉得我是五毛党，但是，没关系，因为我不会在乎这个帽子。相反，今天我西方同学说我被“westernize”了。无论怎么样，我还是会坚持表达自己观点，就像大家所说的90后喜欢彰显个性。

Public entertainment will be suspended Sunday in a show of mourning, said the announcement by the State Council, China’s cabinet.

As of 4 p.m. Friday, the mudslide, which hit Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southern Gansu, on Aug. 8, had killed 1,156 people and 588 were still missing.

Following the State Council’s announcement, the Ministry of Culture issued an urgent circular Saturday to say that public recreational activities, such as movies, karaoke and on-line entertainment like games and music, should be suspended Sunday.

Sunday is the seventh day since the mudslide and, according to some Chinese traditions, the seventh day after a death is the height of the mourning period.

Large-scale national displays of mourning are rare in China.

China had a three-day national mourning period after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and a one-day national mourning period after the Yushu quake on April 21 this year, during which national flags were lowered to half-mast and public entertainment suspended.

Waka Waka (This time for Africa) 是哥伦比亚歌手夏奇拉（Shakira)所演唱的歌曲，同时也是2010年南非世界杯的主题曲。据悉，在这首歌的MV中，主角将会是梅西和他夏奇拉巴塞罗那的队员拉斐尔·马克思和丹尼·阿尔维斯，MV中这三个球员的部分将于西班牙进行拍摄，而Shakira的部分也正在洛杉矶同步进行。既然是shakira演唱的，不出所料还有西班牙语版：Waka Waka(Esto es áfrica) 。强烈建议大家试听，相比起英语版，西语版有着拉美人民特有的激情。

]]> http://www.chenmj.com/waka-waka-shakir.html/feed 10 爱尔兰卫生部光临本店http://www.chenmj.com/ministry-of-health-come-to-chinese-restaurant.html http://www.chenmj.com/ministry-of-health-come-to-chinese-restaurant.html#comments Wed, 04 Aug 2010 01:08:18 +0000 MJ·Chen http://www.chenmj.com/?p=1747 阅读全文——共644字 今天爱尔兰卫生部检查小组对我家的餐馆进行半年一次的例行抽查，检查小组由两位中年妇女组成。亮明身份后，开始穿上它们的特殊的工作服进入餐馆的厨房进行检查。不巧检察人员进入厨房时，前台不断有订单涌入，导致厨师们无法接受检查，只能在一边不断重复说：“two more minutes“。大概过了半小时后，才开始正式进行检查。检查员说从上到下，从左到右，从洗碗池到排烟机，绝对不放任何一个死角。这么细致的检查，让众多中餐馆吓出一身冷汗。因为卫生部检查组如果审核不通过，无法正常开业，而对于海外靠中餐馆维持生计的华人同胞们是一个致命的一击。不过好在的是，我爸对于厨房卫生要求很高，每周都会进行一次大清洁，这也直接导致检查小组很快就检查完毕，点头示意说”very clean“并表示很OK！但是，毕竟没有一个十全十美的厨房，所以卫生部总会挑一些小毛病进行整改。这里的整改并不是说停业整改，只是在日常营业时注意下。但是，对于卫生条件不合格的厨房，卫生部会多次不定期空降到你的餐馆。严重者吊销营业执照。这里再来做一个比较，对象肯定就是我的深爱的中国。在福州每家小吃店或者餐馆都会设立一个“卫生监督人员表”。里面挂着店里员工的照片和卫生证。但是，我觉得这有点像是虚设，没有一点监督作用。我还发现有的小吃店卫生许可证都过期好几年了，这从里可以得出2个可能：第一种，卫生局检查时忘记检查卫生许可证的有效期了。第二种，卫生局根本没进行检查。中华美食在世界可是数一数二的，但是，为什么本土美食无法在本土进行卫生食用呢？
